Who this affects
Providers whose revenue comes from community participation, group and centre-based activities or capacity-building daily activities.
The government says the changes will not affect supports essential to participants' critical care and daily living needs, and that they are made under existing planning arrangements, ahead of new framework planning.
Alongside the reset, the government is setting up a $200 million Inclusive Communities Fund to build the capability of community organisations to host participation activities.
What to do
- Look at how much of your revenue sits in these categories, and how many clients have plan reassessments coming up.
- Talk to clients and their coordinators early about what their new budget covers.
- If you run community activities, watch the Inclusive Communities Fund for grant rounds.
